Roasted Poha Chivda | Poha Chevda

Roasted Poha Chivda

We all have habit of eating snack in the evening even if we are at home or at work. Homemade snacks are the best when compared to outside food. It is fresh and cooked neatly and also it does not spike up the additional food cost. There are many snacks options available that can be made at home and munched upon. One of my favorite is Poha Chivda.

It is very easy to make Poha Chivda with locally available ingredients. There are too types of poha. One is small in size and is little thick and it is used to make "bataka poha" or "kaanda poha" while another one is thin and big in size. It is also called nylon poha. It is used to make Poha Chivda. It is easily available in the grocery shop. It can be made with different ingredients according to the taste and availability of the ingredients.

Best part of Poha Chivda is that it can be made in large quantity and stored for a long time. It is usually made during diwali by adding some dry fruits in it. Thus, it is a famous diwali snack too. If not for diwali, it is made with simple ingredients always available at home. Let me share with you my recipe of making Poha Chivda.
