Jeera Biscuit without butter

Biscuits are found in every home that loves tea or coffee. Every individual has different choice. In all the types of biscuits some premium biscuits are bought for some special occasions or for guests. One such type is jeera biscuit. Jeera Biscuit has a unique flavor. It is savory but it tastes creamy and buttery at the same time. Jeera Biscuits are melt in mouth biscuits. It gives a fine crunch of roasted jeera which tastes amazing.

There are many ways to make them. Some make them using butter while some use ghee(clarified butter) in jeera biscuit. I prefer using ghee as it does not add its own tastes into these cookies. Another way is by adding baking soda and baking powder in it. I avoid using them as it is not required. Without using it, cookies comes out just perfect.  It is important to whisk ghee such that it changes light in color. This step help cookies to rise.

Do not have oven ? No problem at all. It is easy to make no oven jeera biscuits or cookies. All you need a non stick pan with a lid. In the pan add regular salt. Place stand on it. Heat the pan with lid till it is quite hot. Then place cookies tray on it. Cover the lid and let it bake on low flame for 12-15 minutes. It will tastes just like the one baked in oven.
