Maggie has such a popularity that it can be declared as the national food of India. Aren't you drooling with just the name of maggie ? You might like it in a different style but cheese maggie is everyone's favorite. You won't mind that extra melted cheese on the top of your maggie. Will you ?

It comes in many flavors and many brands. You can pick any brand but for this recipe you need basic maggie and not that wheat or oats or any other type. This does not require many ingredients. If you wish to add vegetables you can do, for that extra nutrients. 

Maggie tastes even better in cozy and cold weather. Specially when it rains. Everyone has a special memory with Maggie. Next time when you meet your friends or are with your loved ones, try this recipe and they will love it.

Preparation Time: 5-10 mins
Cooking time: 10-15 mins

Ingredients:
  • Butter - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 sliced
  • Green chilies - 3 pieces
  • Garlic - 3-4 cloves
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Maggie - 2 cakes
  • Water - 2 1/2 cups
  • Grated cheese - 1/2 cup total
  • Maggie masala - on top

  1. In a pan, add butter and oil. Let it heat and then add sliced onions.
  2. Let it saute for a minute.
  3. Now add grated garlic and saute it.
  4. Then add green chilies and saute them as well.
  5. Cook onion till it turns golden brown.
  6. Then add spices and little water so spices do not burn.
  7. Then add water and let it boil.
  8. Add salt meanwhile.
  9. Then add maggie cake and cover the lid and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  10. Mix it well and now add remaining maggie masala.
  11. Cover again and cook for a minute or so.
  12. See if the maggie is cooked and little water is remained.
  13. It is time to add grated cheese on top.
  14. Switch off the flame before adding cheese.
  15. Sprinkle some maggie masala too on the top.
  16. Cover for a minute so that cheese melts.
  17. Serve immediately and enjoy cheesy maggie.
